Golf 

Bentwater has the kind of spectacular setting that golf course designers dream about. It’s no wonder golf is the main attraction at this prestigious community. There are three 18-hole golf courses and they all offer distinctly different playing experiences.  

The Weiskopf Course was designed and built by the renowned team of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. Their world-wide reputation for creating challenging courses that are as enjoyable to play as they are to look at is immediately evident at Bentwater. Rolling fairways rise and fall through forest of hardwood and pine. Bright white bunkers serve the dual purpose of protecting greens and accentuating their rich green color. The East Course is best exemplified by its number 12 split fairway. A scenic ravine amid tall trees divides the length of the fairway just short of the green, which is surrounded by Lake Conroe. As golfers stand on the tee box, they must choose between a straight shot with the risk of the lake to the left, or the longer but safer route to the right. It’s a picture postcard hole and one of Tom Weiskopf’s favorites. 

The Miller Course was created by internationally acclaimed designer Scott Miller. According to Miller,” the Bentwater West Course is one of the most natural golf courses he’s ever worked on”. On a scale of 1 to 10 he rates it a 10 because of the contour of the land, abundant specimen trees and the lake. In addition to all the holes that border Lake Conroe, there’s also a natural creek that meanders along holes seven and eight and a 3-acre lake on holes three and four. The natural beauty of the lush green fairways is highlighted by pine straw roughs. 

The newest course, The Grand Pines was designed by designer Jeffrey Blume who calls the Grand Pines a “golf course designer’s dream.” The Grand Pines is a new private membership course for Bentwater. The 18-hole golf course is located on 182 acres of land that adjoins the Sam Houston National Forest. The Grand Pines course will showcase golf in its most classic form since the course will have no obstructed views. Most golf courses are the backdrop for new homes. However, the Grand Pines was designed solely for golf. The course offers natural views from every hole and fairway.
 

Yacht Club 

You can spend the afternoon on Lake Conroe, but the glistening copper dome of the Yacht Club will always be there to welcome you home. There is a full service marina and Ships Store. Once on the mainland you can relax in the waterfront pool and enjoy the lakeside club. Finishing off the evening with a delectable meal inside the Yacht Club enjoying the romantic views of Lake Conroe!  

Bentwater’s Country Club 

Perched upon Bentwater’s highest ridge is the golf and country club, where members have dramatic views of the golf course and the lake. Fine dining is available in the elegant Crescent Room or there’s the Mixed Grill and an outdoor terrace for casual fare.  

Bentwater’s Tennis Center 

The tennis center includes lighted courts, a stadium court and the pro shop, where members will find everything they need for their game. There’s plenty of room for sunbathing around the pool and a snack bar for food and beverage service.  

Bentwater Sports Club 

You can become energized at the state of the art fitness facility. Take an aerobics class or enjoy a relaxing massage. There is a dedicated staff of professionals there to help you achieve a healthy and happy lifestyle.
